N5781B Cessna 182
The old paint on N5781B was faded and cracked. We disassembled the plane down to the major components. All of the old paint was stripped, the aircraft was inspected for damage, then etched and alodined. and the individual parts were primed and painted in our paint booth. The aircraft was then reassembled, rigged and weighed. The entire process is documented in the N5781B photo gallery.
N577CM is a recent Super Cub restoration project. This 1977 airplane had the original covering on it and the dope and paint were peeling off the lower portions of the plane. The owner elected to make an extensive set of upgrades to this aircraft in conjunction with the recovering and repainting, including upgraded fuel tanks, leading edge exhaust system, thrust alignment, Borer prop, vortex generators and Alaskan Bushwheels. TxAero Aircraft disassembled the plane, inspected each component, incorporated STC’s, and then recovered, painted and reassembled the aircraft. This process is documented in the N577CM photo gallery.
